Frequently asked questions about the N26 checking account with MasterCard:
Q: Can I open an N26 account if I do not have a postal address in Europe?
A: Unfortunately no. A postal address within Europe is required.
Q: Can anyone open an N26 account?
A: It depends on the nationality. Nationals from the following countries can open a bank account:
- Bosnia Herzegovina
- China / Hong Kong
- Great Britain
- Italy (CIE only)
- New Zealand
- South Africa
- South Korea
- Czech Republic
Q: How to take back money that you transferred using your N26 bank account or N26 MasterCard?
A: If it’s a direct debit you can claim it back by yourself using the app or when you login to your online banking. If it’s a credit card payment you need to contact customer support. You can dispute a payment up to 120 days after it was done. It might be good to double check if it’s an actual payment or only a payment authorisation. Payment authorisations don’t shop up in the PDF bank statements.
Q: Can I block a merchant from deducting money from my account or credit card?
A: Yes you can, just fill in this form and send it to support(at)n26.com.
